So, I've been doing some more scrapping again. This time I stumbled across a challenge at the Digi Dares. I remember hearing about the Digi Dares when they first started, but didn't really have time to play along. I found them again (I have no idea how) and was really interested in trying out a "non-store" environment challenge and the style of challenge (kind of like a recipe challenge) is one of my favorites. So, here is what I created for Digi Dares #250.
The dare said I had to have at least one picture with a costume or "dress up" idea, a frame, a doodle, a bright color as an accent and a grungy title. The kit is main Urban Jungle by myself and Digilicious Designs, along with bits from Run, Bike, Swim by Dream Big Designs, Follow by Allison Pennington, and Stated Simply by Mad Scrapper Designs. I also got to break into some new fonts including TheFaultyMarker,ChicagoHouse,VTKSDOWNTOWN, and TheOtherTwin.
It was really out of my box to scrap with more than one kit. But I liked it, and I think I've found an easy way to search through a lot of my kits in Windows 7. I believe I will have to turn it into a tutorial at some point. I don't key word my kits (I do my CU), so I've never been great at crossing over into different kits until I discovered this little trick that I'll share with you in the future.
Thanks for stopping by. Let me know if you have an interest in that tutorial I mentioned.

Hi Janice,
I just found you last night - after getting home from the family get together (Potato soup on Trick or Treat night tradition). I went straight to your store and started shopping! I was just about done and hubby woke up and wanted me off computer and into bed (before 4am haha!) So first chance I could get today I went back to finish my order and it is all gone! The DSA post I saw said this was the last week and so I thought I found it in time but nope! I rarely buy much, gotta watch finances, but when I find good sales, I have to give myself a limit or I'll go crazy LOL. How can I purchase these items? I think I remember most of them, but maybe not exact names of the kits. I know you retired, but surely you have them all stored somewhere and I could send money to your email via paypal?? I am just beating myself up about this, just found a fabby designer on the end of her retiring!! You can email me if you'd like: orangeinheaven@gmail.com
ALSO, being a newbie (to scrap and W7), I have tried to organize my downloads but had not ever thought about tagging each individual piece of a kit for cross-referencing like the column in my Bible (but wow, that would be super cool!). I would be stoked to get hold of the tutorial on what you found for doing this!! I have been re-organizing my stuff this last week and transferring it to my ex-hard drive, which is what I was doing before I found you, too bad I didn't take a break sooner!! I do not see a way to tag each kit, or I would, for colors, style (life-like, hand-drawn, etc). I do try to tag or rename awesome orange papers and elements (yes, it is my favorite color, hence the email and user name lol) but have not done a great job of that, it takes a ton of time to go through each paper and element of a kit and rename or tag them! I am waiting on pins and needles to hear what you found for referencing!!! I have started entering challenges in the few forums I belong to so I can force myself to practice digiscrap, and they want you to use %s of product from that store, so I do have some Designers tagged who have more than one store since I have their folder filed within a store folder as a category in my main Art folder. I startede that when I found digi stamps a few months ago, I never dreamed that I would find digiscrap and now I need to separate the two into separate folders and put my Art folder back to original miscellaneous art that I scan or d/l. See?? I need help! Newbie Alert!!
OMG this got way long! That is what happens when I get excited about something :o) Before I forget, I love the template! Now, how do I use it?? I have seen many, even free, but they are stashed in a folder and now that you gave one I really want to use, I have to find out how ROFL!! I use Gimp, which is closer to PS than PSE (I have tried both kinds of tutorials and PSE just isn't as close in ways to do things as PS). One day I will be able to afford PS - IF I never buy another digikit hahahahaha NOT!! So, please email me back about the kits, the template tutorial and I will sign up for your newsletter if you have one to see when you post about the cross-referencing or searching for like items in diff kits. Thanks for putting up with me!!
Many many blessings, Deborah/JoyfullyOrange

Would love to know how you're doing the searching, and would hope it'd transfer to the Mac (maybe, maybe not). So go ahead and post that tut, and thank you!
I've been doing some tagging but I'd love to learn about what you discovered using Windows 7!
